Super compact package of 7x7mm LSI which adopt 4 wire serial bus.

Due to the 4-wire serial bus designated compact package(molding part: 7x7mm) as well as mating with less pin number CPUs, it can make the total board size very compact. Since it has encoder input, up/down counter, and servo motor interface, it can be used for closed loop controls by stepping motors/servo motors.

Characteristic of PCD2100 series

・Connect with CPU through 4-wire serial bus ・By optimization of the control data replacement and utilizing the block transfer method, it can minimize transmission time.
・It equips a new motion mode "Independent motion system mode" which is a control without CUP(Attach an EEPROM which has 32 kinds of motion patterns which enables CUP less controls)
32 bit up/down counter integrated
In addition, it has 2 phase stepping motor sequence output and also servo motor I/F, which enable stepping/servo motor controls.
