Low cost pulse control LSI for stepping motors.

Designated for stepping motor open loop control. It is a low cost type LSI, which has basic functions which are necessary for general use. 2-axis type is 10x10mm, 4-axis type is 14 x 14 mm, which are the smallest for QFP package types. It enable to design multi axis controllers by cheap budget quickly.

Characteristic of PCD4600 series

・ Output frequency: Standard 2.4Mpps (up to 5Mpps)
・ Linear /S-curve acceleration and deceleration ・ Sequencer circuit is incorporated for 2 phase stepping motor drive
・ Simultaneous start / simultaneous stop function
・ Present position counter is available 1 pc per axis ・ Compact package (the industry's smallest in the QFP type)
・ 3.3V single power supply
・ Ambient temperature： it can be used in -40 - +85 ℃
Stepping motor drive system can be designed easily by adding a stepping motor drive IC (Pulse train output is available as well.)
